Usually when I say "Loreena McKinnett", I get blank stares and "Who?" I am so glad that someone else knows her and loves her, too. I gave birth the first time, listening to her. I find her music simultaneously relaxing and empowering. LOVE her. :)
okay i totally feel bad about this, but whne i played the first one, the first thing i thoguth was, geez, could you comb her hair? it looks like a rats nest".
i feel bad about thinking that.
her voice is beautiful and i want to buy music from her. thanks for the heads up!
I've been a "lurker" on your blog for quite some time, and I rarely make comments. But my heart soared when I saw your vid post of Loreena Mckennitt. I've been an avid listener of hers since I heard one of her song in that movie Jade with Linda Fiorentino. I always call her the Canadian Enya. I came close to seeing her in concert once, but I had a final on the night. Stupid final.
